In recognition of our commitment to the environment, Washington Design Consultants have been awarded Green Dragon accreditation at level two, currently we are the only listed graphic design consultancy in Wales to have received this award.

It was not just the way in which our policy affects the way we operate, our commitment to local purchasing and our support for many community projects played a major part in this award.

We are proud that our contribution to the environment and our community has been formally recognised in this way.

Best Tread Forward

Congratulations to Fordberry plc, winners of the 2008 Wales Fast Growth 50 award. Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, Fordberry plc is an international supplier and distributor of giant OTR tyres for the mining industry.

Washington Design Consultants were tasked with developing a bold and new corporate brand identity for Fordberry, and creating a distinctive visual concept for their “Mine Master” tyre range. The concepts were launched in mid 2008 to coincide with Fordberrys’ attendance at a premier trade show in the USA.

Over the next 10 years Fordberry plc will be involved in many new global projects within mining and the oil industry, with marketing  support from Washington Design the future looks very bright.

Local Agency pitches it just right…

Penarth-based Washington Design Consultants have won a national design pitch to re-brand Erasmus, the Lifelong Learning Programme managed by the British Council in the UK on behalf of the European Union.

Washington Design Consultants beat national competition to promote the positive benefits of the Erasmus programme and raise awareness among sixth formers and HE students.

Judith Thomas, Erasmus marketing manager at the British Council said, “For higher education students, the Erasmus programme offers a fantastic opportunity to study, work and live in another European country as part of their degree. Not only does Erasmus help students academically, personally and ultimately professionally, personally, it can be a life-changing experience.

“Our brief was about developing a vibrant, fun and colourful identity for Erasmus in the UK that has particular appeal for 16-21 year-olds.

“Washington responded with great enthusiasm; their concepts were well researched and backed up by a service focused on getting the job done.”
